Aetna has announced the following updates to their small group (2-100) underwriting processes:
Plan Participation: all types of waivers are accepted and fractions will be rounded up.
- 2-50 eligible employees: 30% of eligible employees, with a minimum of 2 enrolled
- 51-100 enrolled employees: 20% of eligible enrollees
Individual Medical Questionnaires: no longer required for virgin groups if enrollment meets or exceeds the threshold below. This is for both ACA and level funded (Aetna Funding Advantage) groups.
