The new clients you bring to Aetna Funding Advantage℠ plans with 2–100 employees will continue to be able to get an admin fee credit and guaranteed surplus through September 1, 2023, effective dates.
Aetna Funding Advantage 2-100 Administrative Fee Credit Program
Aetna is letting you stack the credits that apply to your groups. You can add each of the below credits that applies to your client. However, you can’t add both the 51-100 new business credit and the level-funded incumbent credit. Groups will only get one of those two credits even if they qualify for both.*

Save Later for a Surplus Guarantee
For groups with 2 to 50 eligible employees, Aetna guarantees that there will be a surplus at the first renewal. The surplus amount they guarantee is decided based on how many enrolled employees a client has when the case sells.
Clients who earn a higher surplus than the guaranteed amount will receive that amount instead of the guaranteed if they renew. Clients whose surplus is lower than the guarantee will receive the guaranteed surplus amount**:

Whether clients take the surplus they earned or the guaranteed surplus, the amount is credited to their account 90 to 150 days after their first renewal.**

*A group can only be eligible for an administrative fee credit at their effective date based on the number of enrolled employees at the time the case is sold. The administrative fee credit programs are available for new Aetna Funding Advantage groups with effective dates through September 1, 2023, unless otherwise noted.
** Applies to the cost of next year's plan. Applies to the first renewal. The offer is valid through September 1, 2023. Only groups that renew are eligible for a one-time surplus guarantee. Guaranteed surplus tiers are calculated based on number of enrolled subscribers at the time the case is sold.
