Aetna helps make tax time easy
You and your clients have enough to think about. That's why Aetna keeps their AFA product simple, especially at tax time. In fact, Aetna handles 1095-B forms for your Aetna Funding Advantage clients with 2-50 eligible employees so they don't have to worry about it.
Aetna will automatically prepare and file form 1095-B on the plan sponsor's behalf. Then in January they'll distribute it to all of the applicable members via the member website. This helps save plan sponsors time and money during tax time. It's one of the many ways Aetna Funding Advantage adds value beyond health benefits.
Important things to note about this process
- This perk is for employers with 2 to 50 eligible employees. Aetna will not file 1095-B forms on behalf of groups with 51 or more eligible employees.
- Aetna must have the most up to date information in order to file on behalf of the plan sponsor. If the IRS rejects the filing submission, Aetna will not refile.
- If employers would like to complete their own 1095-B forms for their group, they must opt out by November 30, 2022.
Aetna will distribute this information to plan sponsors next week.
