Effective 4/1/18, Aetna Small Group will stop selling Life products to new business. Aetna Life Insurance was acquired by The Hartford on November 1, 2017. All quoting vendors have been notified to remove Aetna Life products from their programming. Employer and Employee Applications will be updated in 2019. If a new sale is received with a Life election, underwriting will notify them that it is no longer available. For existing Aetna Life policies under small group, there is no change to their current rating, billing or access to benefits and services. Any changes that may take place in the future will be communicated by The Hartford.
