Effective Jan. 1, 2025, Sutter Health Plus will be changing their organization’s legal name to Sutter Health Alliance. As a result, the health plan will be doing business as Sutter Health Plan rather than Sutter Health Plus. The name Sutter Health Plan more clearly and concisely communicates who they are — a health plan that is part of the Sutter Health family.
Later this month, Sutter Health Plus will provide the required 30-day notice to their members and providers. Closer to the name change effective date, they will reach out directly to their employers to update co-branded materials, webpages and other assets. They will also notify the plan partners, such as CVS and Optum, to update their respective materials. They are working toward a goal of transitioning their websites, portals and external branding and marketing on January 1.
After January 1, health plan materials with the name Sutter Health Plus may still be in circulation, such as ID cards and plan documents. Please know those materials will remain valid. Beginning in January, members will start receiving member ID cards reflecting the Sutter Health Plan name.
While the name you know them by is changing, their commitment to partnering with you never stops getting better.
