Anthem Blue Cross and Sutter Health System had been engaged in contract negotiations for several months. Although the termination date for commercial business was December 31, 2018, Anthem honored a transition period to allow members to access Sutter Health physicians, hospitals, and ancillary providers through March 31, 2019.
Today, Anthem Blue Cross announced that they have successfully renewed their Agreements with Sutter Health System.
The new multi-year contracts are effective on April 1, 2019. Sutter Health System includes the following hospitals and medical groups located throughout Northern California.
