Anthem Blue Cross has released their Q4 2021 medical rates. There are no benefit or underwriting changes.
- HMO plans have 1.1% increase in most regions (-5.2% for regions 3 and 17)
- PPO plans have an average 1.6% increase
- EPO plans have an average -0.1% decrease
In addition, the following underwriting promotions will extend through Q4 effective dates:
- Multiple Networks Promo : 2 PPO + 1 HMO, OR 2 HMO + 1 PPO
- No DE9C for groups with 3+ enrolled
- 25% Relaxed Participation for groups with 5+ enrolled
- 65% Relaxed Participation for groups with 1-4 enrolled
- IFP is a valid waiver (on/off exchange)
For specialty plans, DHMO and vision plans received a rate pass. DPPO plans are still being evaluated and a change may be issued soon. Contact your Amwins Connect Regional Sales Representative to learn more.
