Anxiety levels are high during the Coronavirus outbreak. So Anthem Blue Cross is encouraging members to call their Employee Assistance Program (EAP) if they are experiencing stress. This benefit is available to the employee and their household members. The EAP provides the following support at no-cost:
- Support by Phone: Members can call a counselor for support or a work/life specialist who can assist identify resources to meet Their needs. It’s available 24/7 at 800-999-7222
- Virtual or In-Person Clinical Consultations: Members can get a referral for in-office visits or LiveHealth Online video visits to manage stress, anxiety, and other issues. They can call 800-999-7222 for a referral.
- Child and eldercare resources: Members can do their own search for full-time, part-time, and back-up care at anthemeap.com (log in: My EAP CA.)
- Financial consultations: Members can have a phone meeting with a certified financial professional to discuss short-term and longer-term financial concerns
- Legal consultations: Members get a no-cost attorney for consultation to discuss legal questions
- Online Resources: At anthemeap.com (log in: My EAP CA), members can find tips, tools, and resources for COVID-19, a critical event center, and more
