Effective July 1, 2019, Anthem Blue Cross is significantly enhancing the Priority Select HMO network for large groups in Southern California. Forty medical groups are being added as of July 1, 2019:
- Los Angeles County – 25 medical groups, including Torrance Health IPA, Good Samaritan, St. Vincent, Lakeside, Regal, St Mary’s IPA, Pomona Valley, Prospect Health Source, Prospect Professional, and Providence Saint John’s
- Orange County – 5 medical groups, including Monarch, ADOC, Fountain Valley IPA, Prospect, and Daehan
- Riverside – 3 medical groups, including Hemet Community, Riverside Physician Network, and Desert Oasis
- San Bernardino – 3 medical groups, including Chaffey, Redlands Yuciapa, and Heritage Victor Valley
- San Diego – 4 medical groups, including Scripps Clinic, Scripps Coastal, Scripps Physicians, and Mercy Physicians
These changes make the Priority Select HMO network very strong in all these counties. It pairs very well with the Select HMO and Vivity (LA). For example, you no longer need to write the traditional HMO network to have full access to providers in San Diego with the addition of Scripps Clinic, Scripps Coastal, Scripps Physicians, and Mercy Physicians. By combining the Select and Priority Select HMO networks, you have access to all providers in San Diego at a reduced price!
