As we approach peak season Anthem wants to encourage you to submit your September – January cases early to ensure members have their coverage in place and ID cards in hand.
Anthem realizes that money may be tight during these continuing unprecedented times, and having to maintain current coverage while making the change to Anthem may be a financial strain on your clients. With that said, Anthem is offering new cases, with September 1st – January 1st effective dates, the option to defer their first month’s premium with the following requirements:
- The case MUST use Anthem’s ACH/EFT payment method
- For a group to participate in the above premium deferral program you must:
- Annotate the ACH/EFT form that the group is opting in to “peak” premium deferral
- Add case notes if submitted via salesforce, or quote to enroll, that the group/case is opting in for the first months “peak” premium deferral program
- Add a note on the application that the case is opting in for the first months “peak” premium deferral program
The premium will be run the 15th of the month prior to the effective date (unless the 15th falls on a Saturday or Sunday) as follows:
- 9/1 effective date – premium run date 8/16
- 10/1 effective date – premium run date 9/16
- 11/1 effective date – premium run date 10/17
- 12/1effective date – premium run date 11/16
- 1/1 effective date – premium run date 12/16
