You can now quote Anthem Blue Cross Q1 2020 plans. LISI reports a minimal statewide quarterly increase across all plans with HMOs at 0.3%, PPOs at 0.4%, and PPO HSAs at 0.8%. Anthem will only terminate one plan — the Bronze PPO 65/4600/40% on Full and Select networks. Anthem is adding three new plan designs into their PPO portfolio with a total of six new plans. In the context of the recent launch of Priority Select, there is a real effort to offer more price points and relevance to the market.

- New! Dual PPO in Region 1 and Region 9: You can pair Full PPO and Select PPO within the same group offering for new groups with effective dates of October 1, 2020 to January 15, 2020. The employer’s principal business address must be in Region 1 or 9 for medical
- Promos continue through Q1: IFP as a valid waiver, 25% Relaxed Promo, No DE9 for Groups 6+, and Dual HMO (Full + Select or Select and Priority Select)
A Better Member Experience
- Ingenio Rx is a seamless new PBM that promotes cost savings. The formulary does not change
- The Sydney App replaces the Anthem Anywhere Mobile App. Existing members use the same login as for Anthem Anywhere. New members need to download the Sydney App
- Expanded call center hours on Saturday from 9:00AM to 5:00PM with smart analytics for enhanced member support
Q4 Medical and Specialty Bonus Reminders
- 7% commission for the life of a case for new groups with 10+ enrolling. This only applies to ACE agents and runs through Jan. 2020 • $50 per member for new groups with 10+ enrolling. This applies to all agents (non-ACE agents) and runs through Jan. 2020. Please note that ACE agents must select the 7% bonus or the $50 per member bonus; they can’t have both
- Q4 Specialty Bonus is tiered. Brokers can earn up to $200 per sold dental case and up to $100 per sold life case
