Anthem Blue Cross made a huge overhaul to their portfolio in Q1 2019. They terminated plans, added plans, revised their plan names, and enhanced their tele-health offering. So what can we expect in Q2 2019? Anthem’s statewide average quarterly rate increase hovers around 4.8% for HMO and PPO plans while PPO HSA plans report a 3.6% increase.
We do not anticipate any plan changes, and underwriting promos are extended through Q2 2019. Anthem Blue Cross continues to be a solid option for those looking to get a lot of value out of their health plan.
