Effective Oct. 1, 2019, Anthem Blue Cross will change their Rx Tier 1a/1b (split tier) benefits on a majority of January 1, 2019 plans. This means that Tier 1 a/1b will combine to form Tier 1. This will not affect the recent July 1, 2019 plans since they already have a single Tier 1 copay. Impacted materials, such as SBCs and SOBs, will be updated to reflect this change.
