Anthem Blue Cross changed their renewal strategy for small groups enrolled in ancillary lines of coverage. Small group specialty renewals from July 1, 2020 to September 1, 2020 will renew as-is with no rate action.
Anthem says to disregard a July 1, 2020 renewal announcement that indicated rate action since those renewals were sent before this notification. Anthem Blue Cross will suppress the increase and hold the rates on their July 1, 2020 billing report.
