Anthem is making temporary changes to health plan benefits to provide relief and ensure healthcare access for our members impacted by the Park Wildfire in Butte, Plumas, and Tehama counties in California.
Anthem wants to help make sure members have access to the healthcare they need. The changes also apply to emergency responders who have been activated to the impacted area by their state or local agency, but who do not live in the impacted area.
The changes are in effect from July 25 through August 23, 2024.
- Emergency or urgent care
- Receive emergency or urgent care from any doctor or hospital, even if they are not in the plan’s network.
- Call 833-285-4030 for help finding a provider.
- Reach care management programs by calling 833-285-4030.
- Prescription drug refills
- Receive up to a 30-day emergency refill at any pharmacy now.
- Report an address change to 833-285-4030 to receive Anthem home delivery pharmacy medication.
- Medical equipment that is lost or damaged
- Replacement medical equipment. Call us at 833-285-4030.
- Eyeglasses or contact lenses that are lost or damaged
- Replacement eyeglasses or contact lenses. Call us at 833-285-4030.
- Preapprovals or referrals
- Extra time allowed, no late fees. Call 833-285-4030 for an extension.
- Filing a claim
- Extensions allowed. Call 833-285-4030 for an extension.
- Mental health support and life challenges
