Following the acquisition of the parent company’s life and disability (L&D) business in 2024, StanCorp Financial Group, Inc. (The Standard) began handling all Life and Disability commission payments starting January 1, 2025.
In states where Anthem Life business remains active, brokers have been appointed by The Standard to continue servicing that business.
With these new appointments in place, as a final step in this transition, all Anthem appointments for the companies conveyed to The Standard (Anthem Life Insurance Company, Greater Georgia Life Insurance Company, and Anthem Life & Disability Insurance Company) will be terminated starting March 31, 2025. Anthem will mail these termination notices in April, 2025. Brokers receiving these notices do not need to take any action.
