AnthemBCBS announces exciting updates for their 2025 Small Group portfolio.
Q1 2025 Rate Action (Downstate average)
- EPO Full Network 2.3%
- EPO Limited Network 2.4%
- EPO HSA Full Network -2.8%
- EPO HSA Limited Network -1.8%
2025 Plan Updates
- HSA plans have changed to Deductible then Coinsurance to offer a more cost-effective option.
- All Small Group plans no longer have a gate-keeper. Note: Gated plans remain with HealthyNY
- Diamond Provider - A new tiered PCP benefit encourages members to use cost-effective PCPs and in exchange the member pays a lower copay.
- Mental health and substance abuse outpatient visits covered at $0 member copay. (HSA plans $0 after deductible)
Pharmacy
Blue Access network plans have been moved to the Select Rx formulary - the pharmacy network will remain the same: Base Rx Network which is Anthem's most open network including major retail pharmacies such as CVS, Walmart, Target, Kroger and Walgreens.
Network
Blue Access is the fastest growing network. Groups can continue to offer plans from all three networks. PPO/EPO, Blue Access, and Connection.
Wellness
- Wellness package increases from the Engagement 200 to Engagement 500. All members age 18+ can earn up to $500 by performing wellness tasks.
- Anthem's Sydney Health continues to earn accolades as a powerful app with unlimited resources for whole-person care. And now, Sydney is available is Spanish.
