If one or more of your Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona (BCBSAZ) Small Group fully insured clients had coverage in 2021, they will be receiving a rebate for a portion of their group health insurance plan premium. This rebate is part of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and is based on the ACA’s “80/20” (medical loss ratio) rule.
Active Groups
Your group will soon receive a letter from BCBSAZ with all the details, including a check for their rebate. Members of the group will also receive a letter making them aware of the rebate.
Inactive Groups
These groups will receive a letter from BCBSAZ with all the details, including a check for the employer portion of the rebate. Members of groups that are no longer in business will receive a letter with their rebate check at the mailing address we have on file.
