Blue Shield announced that small groups will automatically be renewed for the next contract year without any action required. If groups received a decline notice, this also should be disregarded.
Blue Shield is taking action to ensure that members have the coverage they need in the face of challenges posed by the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. This change in the recertification process is part of their response to COVID-19, so that groups can focus on the health and safety of their employees and their business.
