What is 2-Step Verification
2-step verification, also known as multi-factor authentication, adds an extra layer of security to your account beyond the traditional username and password. This simple yet effective process, also used by banks and cellular companies, requires you to input a unique code sent to your email, ensuring that only authorized individuals can access your account.

Rollout Schedule
2-step verification is now required for brokers on Broker Connection. If the contact information on your online profile is not current, you may be unable to log into Broker Connection. Please contact Broker Services to update your information.
- The Member Portal on blueshieldca.com requirements will go live on September 7, 2023.
- Employer Connection 2-step verification will be required beginning September 29, 2023.
