Blue Shield of California has successfully submitted data reports to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), as required by the Consolidated Appropriations Act, Section 204 – Prescription Drug Cost Reporting (RxDC). This includes D1 Premium Contribution information submitted to Blue Shield, by employer groups, their representatives, or their brokers via the Prescription Drug and Healthcare Spending survey, earlier this year.
Blue Shield also submitted D2 data available under the medical benefit for all employer groups, and D3-D8 for employer groups with Blue Shield prescription drug (pharmacy) benefits plans.
Please note that data submitted is for the preceding year, 2023. Blue Shield will also reach out to groups, informing them of the data submission, for their records.
