Blue Shield of California and Blue Shield of California Promise Health have reached contract agreements with Rady Children’s Health Network and Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego County. Blue Shield is pleased to share this update, and believe the agreements reached are equitable and sustainably affordable for your customers.
Members who received contract termination letters regarding Rady Children’s Health Network (RCHN) will receive “good news” letters in the coming week with information on the successful negotiation. These members will continue to have the same RCHN PCP assigned to them and no action is required. If a member has already selected a new PCP and would like to switch back to their RCHN PCP they may do so by using Find a Doctor or by calling member services.
No member letters were mailed by Blue Shield regarding Rady Children’s Hospital contract termination.
