In response to the COVID-19 virus, Blue Shield of California is waiving out-of-pocket costs for most members to use Teladoc Health’s virtual care service. Copays and co-insurance for Teladoc Health visits will be waived for members enrolled in all Blue Shield’s commercial plans until May 31, including individual & family plans as well as employer-sponsored plans that offer Teladoc.
With Teledoc Health, members get virtual medical care from physicians, reducing the risk of infection and the spread of disease from in-office visits. To sign up for the service, Blue Shield members are encouraged to visit http://blueshieldca.com/teladoc or download the Blue Shield of California app on their smartphones.
