Blue Shield of California is continuing their Premium Payment Plan Program for the month of May. IFP members, MedSupp members, and Small Group customers who are delinquent in their May premium payment are eligible to enroll in the program. This includes those who enrolled in the program for April and need to extend deferring payment for May as well. IFP members and Small Group customers who did not enroll in the program in April, and were in a grace period in April, can enroll in May and avoid having their coverage canceled.
MedSupp members must either pay their full April premium or be enrolled in the payment program for April, in order to enroll in the program for May.
To continue coverage and avoid cancellation due to nonpayment, customers must meet and agree to all of the terms and conditions to enroll in the Premium Payment Program. The terms and conditions include the requirement to pay the Total Amount Past Due in full and a minimum payment of 25% of their premiums due as soon as possible, but no later than May 31, 2020.
