The contract between Anthem Blue Cross and Enloe Medical Center in Chico, CA has terminated effective November 1, 2018. After several months of negotiations, the two parties were unable to reach an agreement on contractual language and reimbursement rates. As of November 1, 2018, service at Enloe Medical Center is considered out-of-network. The termination affects Commercial PPO, Medicare Advantage, and Ancillary agreements with Enloe Medical Center. However, Anthem Blue Cross and Enloe may renegotiate a contract in the future. Anthem Blue Cross has notified members who have accessed service at Enloe Medical Center in the past 12 months. Members may be eligible to continue their pre-authorized care, and are encouraged to call Anthem Blue Cross Member Services to ensure that treatment is covered.
