Covered California for Small Business (CCSB) has announced that the broker portal will now indicate a group's COBRA status.
How to Change Cobra Status:
- Search for Company and click View Details
- Go to Employer Dashboard
- Select Employer Profile on the top navigation bar
- Scroll to the bottom and click Edit on the bottom left
- Change the COBRA status
- Yes: Federal OBRA
- No: Cal COBRA
Updates will take effect starting the next month and be applied to any newly termed employees. If your group needs to update the status for January 1, 2023, be sure to make the change during the month of December.
