Included in all small group plans with WHA , members have access to several resources while traveling outside the service area. To highlight a few, members can:
Connect to a doctor in minutes by phone or mobile app with Teladoc. Before you go, download the Teladoc app at mywha.org/Teladoc, so if you suddenly get a minor injury or illness, you can access care 24/7 using your phone to get a diagnosis, and if needed, a prescription sent to a nearby pharmacy.
For any health concern at any time, day or night call WHA’s Nurse Advice line. Reach a registered nurse for advice, to evaluate symptoms, assess treatment options, and help determine whether to seek urgent or emergency care from a nearby network facility. Visit mywha.org/nurseadvice for details and the phone # is also on the back of your WHA ID card.
If you have an injury or illness when traveling, you have a network of resources here or abroad with WHA’s emergency global services, Assist America. They have emergency operations centers globally. Download their app before you go to mywha.org/travel.
