During the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency (PHE), Health Net offered certain COVID-19 benefits at no cost. This was based on federal guidance. These enhanced benefits helped members get care during the pandemic.
The federal PHE for COVID-19 ended on May 11, 2023. Per state guidance, Health Net began implementing changes starting in November of 2023. The changes to the Commercial Group HMO and EOA plans will begin on January 1, 2025.
Benefit changes apply to the Non-Grandfathered (NG) and Grandfathered (GF) HMO and EOA plans with and without Rx Coverage. Review the changes here.
Employer and member notification letters will begin mailing to impacted employers and members on October 25, 2024, informing them of these COVID-19 benefit changes.
