Kaiser Permanente® has announced their January 2023 rates and benefits.
- All plan medical and ancillary plans have rate changes for January 2023. The one exception is + Child Dental with metal HMO – which does not have a rate change
- Both Medical and Ancillary rates are effective for January 1 – December 1, 2023.
- You can begin quoting January 2023 rates on September 1st.
- Renewal notices will be available to brokers on our normal timing of approximately October 3rd.

There are several plans with benefit changes; some of these changes require a plan name change:

Rate Impact
HMO plans have a 6.7% increase and PPO plans have a 7.0% increase.
Underwriting
As of now there are no underwriting changes or promotions.
Value Add Program Updates
Coming Soon! On October 1st Kaiser is Introducing a brand-new value add emotional support program called Ginger!
The Ginger app is a new program being offered by behavioral health coaches available 24/7 and can be used for 90 consecutive days without any cost to the member. Ginger offers 1-on-1 emotional support coaching by text to help members cope with many common challenges – from stress to issues with work, relationships and more.
