Employers will see maximum impact when they tailor health and well-being communications to the scenario and sometimes to the employee. Employees are generally more motivated by peers and managers on more personal topics, such as physical and emotional well-being. For guidance on health plans and benefits, they look to those with expertise, whom they may not know personally, according to a study by Business Group on Health and ROC Group.
Janice Burnham of ROC Group said, “Employers need to remain the endorsers of these benefits, demonstrating their care for employee well-being while the vendors provide more detailed explanations.”
