Effective April 1, 2019, MediExcel will calculate employees' ages as of the group’s agreement date. New hires will be rated based on the group’s contract date. Previously, MediExcel calculated employees' ages as of January 1st of the group’s agreement year.
This change brings the carrier in line with other carriers' calculations. Please note that rates would be affected if you ran a quote for MediExcel for March 1, 2019 and pushed the effective date back to April 1, 2019.
