UnitedHealthcare will be removing email authentication for One Health ID (OHID) logins at midnight on Wednesday, March 26, 2025. Beginning on March 27, users will be required to set up two authentication authentication options for password recovery and/or multifactor authentication logins.
This applies to all UnitedHealthcare sites where the OHID is used, including but not limited to:
- EmployereServices.com
- Optum and UnitedHealthcare Provider Portals
- UHCeServices.com
- UnitedeServices.com (forwards to UHCeServices.com)
The OHID is not the same credential as the HealthSafe ID used for member logins.
The following options will be available for password recovery and/or multifactor authentication logins. Users must select at least one of the following additional authentication method besides the password.
- Passkey - use of a PIN or biometrics (fingerprint, facial recognition, etc.) from a desktop computer
- Authenticator - display of a code on your smartphone via an app such as Microsoft Authenticator, Google Authenticator, Duo, LastPass, Authy, and more. Note that Microsoft Authenticator is OHID's preferred app.
- Phone - using a land line or cell phone. If using a land line, the number must be a direct dial number (no extensions).
A brief guide and FAQ document is available.
