Mutual of Omaha invites you to join, in partnership with DMEC, on Wednesday, April 12, to learn about how paid leave programs and disability plans intersect.
Between the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), short-term disability, and more states passing the Paid Family and Medical Leave program (PFML), employers face a complex web of absence benefits that they must manage when employees need to take leave. Understanding the value each program offers as well as how to best coordinate benefit programs is essential to providing employee support and remaining compliant with the ever-changing leave landscape.
In this session, Mutual of Omaha will dive into the different types of leave programs and explore how they interact through example scenarios. They will also cover best practices for coordinating benefits and how short-term disability coverage can fill the gaps left by some state-mandated programs.
Date: Wednesday, April 12
