Sutter Health Plus will honor a special open enrollment period that is offered by employer groups under the following conditions:
- The special open enrollment period must end no later than December 31 with coverage effective January 1, 2020. The Sutter Health Plus seven-day turnaround for enrollment processing still applies. An expedited enrollment may be requested for a prospective member who has an issue with access to care
- Only employees and their dependents who previously declined coverage are eligible for this special open enrollment period. Employees who are already enrolled in a plan can’t make plan changes at this time
- All enrollment eligibility requirements still apply
- The employer is responsible for providing a Summary of Benefits and Coverage (SBC) to each employee as part of the special open enrollment
