DE9C Requirements
Effective immediately for groups 1-9 eligible, Sutter Health Plus will accept either a reconciled DE9C or a reconciled current premium invoice. For group 10+ eligible, Sutter Health Plus will not require a DE9C or current premium invoice.
Sole Proprietor or Partnerships, of any group size, must continue to provide a DE9C.
Plan Combinations
Effective January 1, 2023, Sutter Health Plus will now allow 4 plans to be written, even alongside another carrier. Groups enrolling in November or December that would like to offer a 4th plan may request underwriting approval.
New Gold Plan Coming Soon
You will notice on the NEW Employer Application and Employee Enrollment form that Sutter Health Plus has added a Gold HDHP Plan. The filing for this new Gold Plan is still under review with the DMHC and Sutter Health Plus anticipates an approval within the next week. Once approved, this plan will be available for groups effective January 1, 2023 and later. More information to follow.
