Effective July 1, 2021, printed dental ID cards will be sunset and replaced with digital ID cards for new business groups. Existing groups will be switching to digital ID cards on October 1, 2021.
With digital ID cards members are able to:
- View or email their ID card anytime, anywhere on their smart phone
- Enjoy the perk of having one less card to carrier in their wallet
- Get their plan information anytime
- Access ID card through my UHC.com or the UnitedHealthcare app
The transition to Digital ID cards only applies to dental PPO and INO (in-network only) plans.
