While employees are focused on prioritizing their well-being, many corporate wellness benefits don’t get a high level of engagement. Enter Wellos: a wellness offering geared to help encourage employee engagement and create healthy habits.
Wellos will launch January 1, 2025, to fully insured groups and will replace the UnitedHealthcare Wellness Coaching offering.
Wellos is a mobile app experience tailored to each employee’s personal health goals, providing daily content and support focused on nutritional health, emotional well-being and weight management. And as individuals engage with the app, it adapts alongside them — evolving content and unlocking a more customized experience.
The app offers a tailored experience with:
- Bite-sized learning
- Daily tracking
- Supportive coaches (note: digital coaching is available to all customers, 1:1 live coaching is a buy-up for Key Account groups)
- Personalized support
Next steps for existing Wellness Coaching users:
- Existing users of Wellness Coaching can continue to access the program through December 31, 2024
- On January 1, 2025, Wellos will automatically be available to eligible employees and their eligible dependents (18 years or older) at no additional cost to them
- To access Wellos, eligible employees will be directed from myuhc.com® to a Wellos landing page in their web browser where they can register for a Wellos account. Their member information will automatically transfer. Once registered, they can download the Wellos app, sign-in and begin using.
