UnitedHealthcare's Q4 2024 rates have been announced. Quoting should be available on or before 7/1.
Overview of Rate Action:
- PPO: 1.6% statewide average increase
- Northern California: 1.6% increase
- Southern California: 1.6% increase
- HMO: 0.4% statewide average decrease
- Northern California: 0.4% decrease
- Southern California: 0.4% decrease
- Note that exact rate changes may vary by region.
Portfolio Changes:
- There are no changes to plan designs, availability, or networks for Q4 2024.
- However, the "pending regulatory approval" language has now been removed from the Summary of Benefits & Coverage (SBC) and Summary of Benefits (SOB) documents for the HMO plans.
Underwriting Promotions:
- UHC is continuing the Packaged Savings Bonus for employer credits.
- There are no other changes to underwriting guidelines.
