UnitedHealthcare has released new rates for April to June 2019. On a statewide average, HMO rates will decrease 0.6% while PPO rates will increase 3.3%. There are no changes to their current plans and portfolio offerings. However, they have added a new Southern California network. NEW Harmony Network Harmony is a new, lower-cost HMO network available only in Southern California regions 15 to 18.
The network is performance based with an integrated physician-driven care experience, supported by shared data and streamlined processes. Providers include HealthCare Partners and OptumCare, which provide nearly 6,500 physicians and 133 hospitals in these Southern California counties: Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino, and Riverside.
View the Harmony Brochure (page 5) for the participating physician groups list. The Harmony network will be available with most of the existing HMO network plans from the Choice Simplified portfolios, excluding only the Silver 30% HMO and the Bronze HDHP HMO. The network is not available with the state-mirrored HMO plan designs. View the Q2 2019 Product Grid. NEW Choice Simplified V With the new Harmony HMO plans, UnitedHealthcare is offering the new Choice Simplified V package. It will be the only package with access to the Harmony HMO plans.
