Benefit Changes
With a refreshed portfolio, many plans will experience minor benefit changes to coinsurance, copays, deductibles, and/or out-of-pocket maximums. The 2019 benefit summaries will be posted once UnitedHealthcare makes them available. There is one universal change to HSA plans: as of 2019, they will be labeled as HDHPs.
Fitness Program for HDHP Members
All 2019 Choice Simplified HDHPs on the Select Plus, Core, and Navigate networks will include the new Motion program. Dependents are not eligible, regardless of their age. Also, members in State HDHP plans, non-HDHP plans, and HMOs are excluded from this program.
Plan Termination
The Alliance Bronze 30%/6250 has been discontinued as of January 2019. Members will be transitioned to the Alliance HDHP 0%/6500ded at the group’s anniversary.
