The UnitedHealthcare SAM quoting system is sunsetting on July 31, 2023. Beginning with August 1, 2023, effective date submissions, small groups in California will be transitioning to the SAMx system. This applies to all small groups in California, both new and renewal, on both the UHC Prime (PPO/ancillary) and NICE (HMO) platforms.
As a result of the transition, all SAM users will need to be trained on SAMx. UnitedHealthcare has scheduled two training webinars as follows. The content will be the same for both webinars.
