As employers continue offering a variety of different benefits to employees and their family members, there is confusion about how to correctly handle taxation. This week we’ll discuss some of the most common benefit types along with the tax rules that vary depending upon which benefits and individuals involved.
*NOTE: There was an error on one of the slides in the webinar. It was stated that disability payments are not taxable after 6 months of disability. It’s true that disability payments are no longer subject to FICA taxes after 6 months but they are still subject to income taxes.
