The RxDC is a data report required under section 204 of the CAA. This report requires health insurance issuers and group health plans to submit information about prescription drug and health care spending to the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), the Department of Labor (DOL), and the Department of the Treasury (“Tri-Agencies”).
WHA will submit the summary report and data for all fully insured groups.
Western Health Advantage is pleased to confirm it has complied with the Consolidated Appropriations Act (CAA) RxDC reporting requirements on December 27, 2022 for reference periods of 2020 and 2021. RxDC reporting includes small and large groups as well as individual and Medicare.
In preparation for the next filling for reference period of 2022, WHA will report employer and employee contributions based on employer’s contribution schedule as indicated on the most recent Group Service Agreement Cover Sheet. Please review the GSA Cover Sheet that was provided at renewal to confirm contribution information. For large groups of 100 employees or more, WHA’s Account Management team will be reaching out to respective brokers and consultants at the end of February for assistance on confirmation of employer and employee contribution information.
Employers who offer fully-insured plans with Western Health Advantage may rely on the information we are submitting to CMS to comply with RxDC reporting requirements. However, by submitting the required reports, WHA is not agreeing to assume responsibility or liability for employer group health plans’ compliance with any other applicable laws.
