For clients that will move in October 2023
As Anthem prepares to transition their life and disability (L&D) business to StanCorp Financial Group (The Standard), they're migrating L&D groups to a single enrollment and billing system called Compass.
Some of your clients will be moved to the new system in October
These are clients with February to March renewal dates. Anthem sent them letters (PDF) detailing the changes and outlining migration steps based on their in-force coverage. Please review the letters.
Some of them will need to sign and return a form to Anthem
It will give them access to the Compassi self-service and MyOnlineBill payment tools. Anthem included the form (PDF) with their letter. Please encourage them to return it right away. They won’t be able to use self-service or online bill pay if Anthem doesn't have the signed form by their migration start date.
If you want access to the Compassi self-service tool for any of your clients, they’ll need to list you as an authorized user on their form.
Between August 2 and October 2, they’ll need to submit any L&D enrollment changes via fax or email
They won’t be able to submit changes through EmployerAccess or Compassi during this blackout period. They’ll need to fax or email the changes to the Compass team:

They can use Compassi for their enrollment changes starting October 2
Groups can start paying their bills online in mid-September. Groups that sign up for online bill payment through MyOnlineBill can pay their October bill online starting about September 15.
