San Francisco is updating minimum compensation rates covering most city service contractors as well as tenants at the San Francisco International Airport. The Minimum Compensation Ordinance (MCO) generally requires covered employers to provide the following to their covered employees:
No less than the MCO hourly wage in effect
12 paid days off per year (or cash equivalent)
10 days off without pay per year
For-Profit Rate
Effective July 1, 2022, the for-profit rate increases to $19.15 per hour.
Non-Profit and Public Entities Rates
Non-profit and public entities rates will stay the same until further notice. Once there is new information, the Office of Labor Standards Enforcement will send an email and post it on the MCO webpage.
Health Care Accountability Ordinance (HCAO)
The HCAO Fee Rate is scheduled for an increase on July 1, 2022 and will be determined by late May. Once information is available, the Office of Labor Standards Enforcement will send an email and post it on the HCAO Webpage.
Healthy Airport Ordinance (HAO)
The HAO City Contribution Rate is scheduled for an increase on July 1, 2022 and will be determined by late May. Once information is available, the Office of Labor Standards Enforcement will send an email and post it on the HAO Webpage.
