2026 Annual Dollar Limits on Cost Sharing
Late in 2024, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced the 2026 annual dollar limits on cost sharing.
The 2026 amounts are a 10.3% increase over the 2025 limits.
- Individual coverage increased to $10,150 (up from $9,200).
- Family coverage increased to $20,300 (up from $18,400).
The 2026 limits noted above are different form the IRS limits on health savings account (HSA) qualified high-deductible health plans. This information is normally released in May of each year.
