UnitedHealthcare and Mount Sinai Health System have jointly announced that they have reached a new in-network contract agreement. This agreement is effective immediately for the hospitals, which went out of the network on January 1, 2024. In-network access to Mount Sinai physicians will continue without any interruption.
Members may return to Mount Sinai Hospitals for in-network care effective March 19, 2024. They will be receiving member letters in the near future.
Update: out-of-network claims for dates of service between January 1, 2024, and February 29, 2024 (the cooling-off period) will be automatically reprocessed as in-network claims. However, claims for dates of service between March 1, 2024, and March 18, 2024, will be processed as out-of-network claims unless continuity of care has been approved.
