On August 30, 2019, Governor Gavin Newsom signed a bill extending the deadline for California employers to provide initial sexual harassment training from January 1, 2020 to January 1, 2021. The training requirement applies to employers with five or more employees. For each employee, training must be completed within six months of assuming the job and is required once every two years.
