2024 ACA Affordability Percentage

Just in time for employers who are thinking about their 2024 plan year, the IRS has announced the new health plan affordability percentage for 2024. It is being lowered to 8.39%, the largest reduction since the inception of the rule. This change will require some employers to make significant adjustments to their contribution strategies to avoid potential increased Section 4980H(b) penalties.
